Good News Spreads Fast - contemporary service
Reverend David L. Ledford, III
The term ambassador may have a political hint to it, but when this week's scripture uses that word, it is not political at all. An ambassador represents their home country in a foreign land. They are a person who is sent from their home to another place to represent their leaders. So, then, what did Paul mean when he called us Ambassadors for Christ? Does that imply that this world isn't our eternal home? Then that must mean we really belong eternally to another place. As ambassadors for Christ, our mission is to represent him while we're here. How do we do that before we're called back home? Let's talk about it on Sunday!
