What Are You Looking For? - traditional service

Jul 28, 2024    Reverend David L. Ledford, III

It's Christmas in July this week! Usually it's the beginning of winter when we look for Christ to come into the world. For many, shorter days, colder weather and heavier clothes seem to be synonyms with Christ drawing near. But what does it look like to look for Jesus to come in the middle of the summer? The days are longer, the temperature is hotter and our clothes are lighter. While nothing about this time of year may remind you of Christmas, the message is just as important today as it is in the winter. Prepare the way of the Lord now! Look for him. And while you do, ask yourself "what am I looking for when God becomes flesh?"
