In this week's scripture, upon hearing of the Messiah's coming, we hear Nathaneal ask "can anything good come out of Nazareth?" This question exudes judgment and hints at a long history of only bad things coming from a certain place. We could say that Nazareth had a reputation, and it wasn't a good one. What do people say about our part of the world? Can anything good come out of South Jersey? Like Nazareth, we know the answer is surely YES! God can do great things here in South Jersey, and we know that God already is! Let's celebrate them.
