When Christ came into the world on the first Christmas Day, things changed. Things changed forever. The Advent Wreath illustrates those changes for us. Hope. When Christ came, the hopes of those walking in darkness became real. Peace. When Christ came into a world of war, poverty, oppression and Roman rule, the fulfillment of prophecy brought peace. Joy. To the lonely, the forgotten and the mocked, Jesus brought joy. Love. To those who received nothing but hate, Christ brought transformational love. Christ is still bringing hope, peace, joy and love into the world every time we let our hearts grow and share God's grace with others. Every day truly can be Christmas.
