Comforting the Afflicted, Afflicting the Comfortable

God's activity in the world comforts the afflicted. And sometimes, it afflicts the comfortable. When we get too comfortable, too sure of ourselves, too removed from God, we need a reminder to bring us back. That reminder can make quite an impact. God's comfort is equally impactful. Which would you prefer; riches, power and treasures that bring comfort in this life, or a relationship with God that brings comfort for eternal life?
